EXETER DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION

established 1967

In association with the Town Planner, the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce and SAU 16, the Exeter Development Commission works proactively to promote continued development in the Town of Exeter.  Goals include strengthening the town's existing community with more robust retail/business use and supporting redeveloped parcels which are key to a continued town vitality. The EDC will continue to support projects that offer to increase our non-residential tax base while embracing the Town Master Plan.

The Commission members are appointed by the Selectmen and/or recruited by the Commission.  Members serve three staggered terms, as provided by RSA 162-G:15-a.  The Commission was initially organized by Town Meeting, March 1967.

The Exeter Development Commission meets the second Tuesday of each month at 8:15AM at the Exeter Town Office (call to verify meeting is scheduled). The Commission can be reached through the Exeter Planning & Building Department office at 773-6112. Hours are Monday thru Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM.
