The Highway Team is one of the most visible and most relied upon unit in Public Works. While our main duty is the maintenance of the Town streets and sidewalks we have also become the Towns "Jack of all Trades". The Highway Team consists of a staff of 14 ranging from a tenure of over 40 years to over one year. Our jobs vary from patching potholes to installing granite curbing. Other facets of our jobs are repairing guiderails, planting trees building sidewalks, repair a bridge deck, painting parking spaces, plowing snow, sanding streets/sidewalks or cleaning up downed trees after a storm.
Our goal is to provide top quality and cost effective service to our residents. Our motto is, "We can do the difficult but the impossible takes us just a little bit longer". |
