Transfer Station Extended Hours Due To Storm The Public Works Department will be opening the Transfer Station beginning Monday, March 8, 2010 through Friday, March 12, 2010. This is to accomodate the need for disposing of debris from the storm. The extended hours will be 9:00M to 2:30PM with the exception of Thursday it will be open through 4:00PM.

On February 24 and 25, 2010, due to 3.1 inches of rain and melting snow pack, the capacity of the sewer collection system was exceeded. 637,000 gallons of combined sewer and stormwater were discharged from the Spring Street and Water Street CSO permitted outfall to Clemson Pond. Winter Parking Ban Reminder

Recycle Bin News The Town is offering a 65 gallon recycle bin (with wheels) for $45.00 each. These bins are available at the Public Works Dept. on Newfields Road only. Please call Public Works at 773-6157 before going there to purchase a bin to be sure they have some in stock.
You can also purchase the regular 14 gallon recycle bin at the Town Office for $8.00 each.

Unitil Issues a Storm Advisory to Customers In response to any predicted severe weather, Unitil will closely monitor the situation and will make the necessary preparations to ensure that customers' needs and expectations are met.
Sometimes severe weather conditions may occur. These conditions may interrupt electric service in some areas. Most electrical outages are expected to be for relatively short periods of time. However, severe weather conditions can create substantial damage to the electrical system, and restoration can take an extended period of time.

Northside Carting Trash/Recycle Holiday Information Northside Carting is our trash/recycle hauler effective June 2,2008. Trash/recycle will not be picked up on the following holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day
If your normal trash/recycling pick-up day falls on one these days,your trash/recycling will be picked up on the following day.

Notice about Fairpoint FIOS TV to Exeter residents: FIOS TV service is not currently available in Exeter. Fairpoint is doing a video beta testing in a very limited number of homes in Portsmouth, NH and Kittery, ME. The Town continues to work with Fairpoint and will be updating residents as the company gets closer to offering a standard video product.
